While they sit upon their thrones of corporate greed and false promises.

Columbus was no Christopher I aspired to be.

For all things that take birth must be gone

it starts with you


For if Venus was conquered by a whisper of steel,

Chocolate is comforting and warm and forgiving.

It cemented the belief that my love for poetry was true

Then surely my spirit can dream, and can heal


Ever since, I have carried the spirit of that day within me, reminding me that new

beginnings can launch on any day- even mine

One can invest their energy in something only if their heart is truly in it.

As I forgive, warmth crawls into my chest.


You’re not alone, just work on through.

The world will bend.
