Mission
Inside Our Well: The Ink of the Globe.
Founded in August 2024, Global Inkwell aims to enrich creative writing as a cooperative art by uniting the voices and unleashing the potential of high school writers across the globe. Our workshops and anthology proudly display not only a variety of genres but also a diverse mosaic of self-expression and literary creativity from our young writers around the world.

From the U.S. to India, high school writers unite across oceans and time zones in Global Inkwell's online creative writing workshops to learn from and inspire each other.
Monthly Workshops
Designed and led by Global Inkwell's team of high school writers, our monthly workshops encourage young writers to explore and appreciate writing as a cooperative act.

Global Reach
Currently, Global Inkwell is composed of high school writers from over 11 countries, including schools and schools like:
– Phillips Academy in Andover, MA, US
– Bal Bharati Public School in Delhi, India
– Basis International School Park Lane Harbour in Huizhou, China
– Artemis (student-led non-profit organization dedicated to empowering young people to advocate for sustainable environmental practices in Delhi NCR)
– Lehja (a Pakistani literary organisation that focuses on collecting pieces of literature from all over the world)

Workshops
Workshops meet monthly. Each online workshop encourages writers to refine several creative writing mechanics through collaborative activities and individual practice, all centered around one or two content themes chosen for that workshop. Our workshops promote the creation of new writing, learn strategies for writing, and frequently practice revision and peer-editing.

Anthology
The Inkwell Anthology is a communal space where all the voices at Global Inkwell can shine. We accept running submissions from any previous workshop attendees. Submissions are reviewed by the Global Inkwell team, and selected pieces will be published in our digital anthology. Our anthology is divided up into three genres: Poetry, Prose Fiction, and Prose Creative Nonfiction. We respect each writer's work and aim to accommodate each writer's work and needs to the best of our ability. Click below to read through our anthology!
